Born in 1977, Pali, Rajasthan, Monika completed her Master’s in Drawing and Painting from the Rajasthan University, Jaipur.
Monika's artwork revolves around the depiction of abstract forms in vibrant acrylic colors, adorned with intricate motifs and detailing. Her pieces are layered with a multitude of hues, creating a captivating blend of high relief work that offers a visually soothing experience to the observer.
Monika has showcased her work in numerous prestigious exhibitions, including the Foreign Artists Exhibition in Japan (1999, 2000), the Academy of International Arts: 1st International Art Exhibition in Japan (2000), and the Female Art Campus in Pushkar (2022).
Recipient of several esteemed awards, Monika has been honored with the 63rd Annual State Award for Sculpture (2022) from Lalit Kala Akademy, Rajasthan; the Kala Charcha Award (2022) from Lalit Kala Akademy, Rajasthan; the Prasad Memorial Trust Award (2019) from Kala Mela, Jaipur; and the Amrita Sher-Gill Award (2018), also in Jaipur.
